The magic users were killed instantly, but within moments they all rose again, life somehow returned to their bones which now seeped with the remains of the spells they had practiced and the magic that had felled them. Even in death, Scaphoid remained hungry for power and influence, and so he led the fallen mages of Caramoore to the Dead Lands where they pledged their fealty to Necronominus.
