“I must defend this city, Alfred, even if it costs me my life.”
The Dark Knight returns to the MAFEX collection with the MAFEX No.333 Batman: Hush Batman (Recollection Blue Version) Action Figure from Medicom Toy. Based on Batman as seen in the DC Comics storyline Batman: Hush, this highly detailed figure captures the classic look of the Caped Crusader with his blue cowl and cape. It also gives collectors the chance to display Batman in a more vulnerable state, showing the damage he has suffered after a brutal fight in Gotham City.
The Recollection Blue Version has a unique feature that allows the figure to represent both Batman and Bruce Wayne. The included parts can be used to create a battle-damaged Bruce Wayne display, making this more than a standard Batman figure. After fighting criminals across Gotham, Bruce can be shown back at Wayne Manor, bloodied and exhausted as he takes time to recover. This gives collectors several ways to tell a story with the figure.
MAFEX figures are known for their detailed sculpting and wide range of articulation, and this Batman is designed with those qualities in mind. The figure is made of plastic and features premium articulation that allows for a variety of action poses. Batman can be displayed standing in a classic heroic pose, preparing to throw a Batarang, or getting ready to fire his grappling hook. The removable cape also provides additional display options and helps give the figure a more dynamic appearance.
The box includes three alternate head sculpts. There is a traditional Batman head, along with two bloodied Bruce Wayne heads. One Bruce Wayne head looks forward while the other has his eyes closed, creating the appearance of a wounded and exhausted hero. A Bruce Wayne torso and a pair of interchangeable arms are also included, allowing the figure to be transformed from Batman into his civilian identity.
There is plenty of equipment for Batman to use as well. The accessories include a standard Batarang, a Batarang with grapple wire, a grappling hook, and a grappling hook with wire. A Robin Batarang is also included, adding another connection to the wider Bat-family and giving collectors even more options for their displays. Interchangeable hands allow Batman to hold and use his accessories in different poses.
The blue and gray appearance of this version gives the figure a classic comic book feel while staying true to the distinctive look associated with Batman in Hush. The combination of the blue cowl, blue cape, detailed costume, and expressive alternate heads makes it easy to create a display that shows both sides of Bruce Wayne: the determined crime fighter and the injured man behind the mask.
For collectors who enjoy recreating scenes from DC Comics, the MAFEX No.333 Batman: Hush Batman (Recollection Blue Version) offers plenty of possibilities. Batman can be displayed alone on patrol, posed with his Batarangs and grappling equipment, or shown recovering at Wayne Manor after another dangerous night in Gotham. The interchangeable parts make it possible to change the character’s appearance without needing a separate figure.
With its detailed sculpt, premium articulation, removable cape, multiple head sculpts, Bruce Wayne parts, and collection of Batman accessories, this MAFEX release gives the classic Dark Knight plenty of display options. Designed for collectors ages 15 and up, the MAFEX No.333 Batman: Hush Batman (Recollection Blue Version) is a striking addition to a DC Comics collection and a great way to bring the world of Batman: Hush to life on your shelf.
